Heather Rushforth

NFWI Trustee

Heather was co-opted as a non-member trustee to the NFWI board with effect from August 2026. Professionally, Heather is a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser and an Associate Director for a large professional services firm, specialising in advising charities and other not-for-profit organisations on corporation tax. She also has a degree in Law.

Alongside her career, Heather has a long-standing commitment and passion to serving her local community through leadership and volunteering. Amongst other roles, she has been a school governor, regional and local youth leader at church, ran a successful story and craft time at the local library and currently coaches the netball team at a local junior school.

An enthusiastic sportswoman, Heather enjoys running, netball, swimming, cycling and hiking in mountains, challenging herself to an annual sprint triathlon and participating in the weekly Parkrun. She can also be found baking in her kitchen and squeezing in a few good books around family life and children, making the most of time together before they are all grown up.
