Our extraordinary NHS has been at the forefront of this pandemic, putting their lives on the line to keep us safe. With shortages of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) reported in various locations across the UK, WI members set out to help by using their sewing skills to make items such as scrubs, laundry bags for scrubs, headbands and face-masks. The results have been incredible with WI-led community projects all over the country making thousands of items for local hospitals, care homes, GP surgeries and NHS Trusts.
