Current Projects

    Traditional craft skills

    WI members are establishing links with schools, after-school clubs and others in their local area to teach children and young people various crafts such as knitting, crochet, patchwork and paper crafts.

    Get Cooking

    We are delivering Get Cooking courses that aim to teach young parents basic food preparation skills, ways of obtaining a varied healthy diet on a low budget, and demonstrate that the basic preparation of food, cooking and eating can be enjoyable.

    Women Making a Difference

    This project aims to address the under-representation of women in public life by educating and empowering women from hard-to-reach communities to get involved in decision-making processes that impact on their lives.

    The WI is working to raise public awareness about the nature, extent and impact of violence against women and it is a member of the Wales Violence Against Women Action Group.
