As a WI Supporter your donation supports our important and valuable charitable work and you can decide how much information you want to receive from us.
Becoming a WI Supporter means you agree with the following terms and conditions, which include our organisational and values and commitments:
- You are aged 18 or over.
- Being part of the WI means:
- Upholding the core values and ideals of the WI which are fellowship, truth, tolerance, and justice.
- Demonstrating our vision statements which are bold and inspiring, growing and relevant, flexible, and inclusive.
- Speaking up against inequity and promoting meaningful change in society.
- Helping to contribute to a safe and respectful organisation. As part of this we expect any comments or communications made to or about the WI including our work, policies and/or members to be made respectfully whether communicating directly with NFWI, one of our federations, one of our WIs, posting comments on our social media or any other forms of communication.
- Assisting with campaign questionnaires only where you are eligible to do so.
- We reserve the right to change the benefits that apply to the WI Supporter at any time and without prior notice.
- Becoming a WI Supporter does not allow you to use the WI logo or present yourself as representing the WI’s views unless you have obtained permission from the Chief Executive in writing.
- The NFWI has the right to refuse WI Supporter subscriptions, without explanation.
- The NFWI reserves the right to refuse or terminate WI Supporter subscriptions if the individual behaves in a manner which brings the charity into disrepute and/or causes distress to others in the context of the WI, in particular that WI Supporters shall not harass, abuse or intimidate staff, volunteers, other WI Supporters or WI members or members of the public either in person or online.
- If subscribing from outside the UK please note: Direct Debits can only be set up from a UK bank account. Payments from outside the UK must be by a debit/credit card.
- WI Supporter payments are non-refundable. These are charitable donations, as such, we are not able to refund them at any time.
As a WI Supporter, you can expect the following from the NFWI:
- We will be transparent and open about our how your support helps us achieve our charitable aims. You can find out about our charitable aims here.
- We will be flexible and monitor our offerings to ensure they are relevant and engaging.
- We will respect your privacy and personal information, and by signing up you accept and understand how your information will be processed by the NFWI. You can read the NFWI Privacy Policy, which outlines your rights and how we use personal information here.
- We will listen to your feedback and answer your questions. You can contact us by emailing membership@nfwi.org.uk or calling 0207 371 9300.
- You can make complaints via the Contact us page on the website where you will find the NFWI complaints policy and the complaint form. Please note the complaint form includes the contact email for complaints.
By completing the WI Supporter registration you warrant and represent to us that:
- You agree to these Terms and Conditions.
- All information provided is truthful and accurate.
- You will maintain the accuracy of this information including keeping your email up-to-date. We will use the latest contact information you provide us with and cannot be held responsible for any items which are not received if you change your contact details without notifying us.
- You are at least 18 years of age.
