Toffee Caramels
Ingredients
- 1/2lb Butter
- 1 tbsp Golden Syrup
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1lb Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Water
Method
Boil for 20 minutes, fairly rapidly.
To test, pour a small knob into a cup of cold water. If it goes brittle, it is done.
Put into a shallow tin, and when it begins to set, mark out into squares.
