NFWI Chair, Ann Jones’ Statement on the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II
Ann Jones, NFWI ChairHer Majesty the Queen was the ultimate inspiring woman. Loyal, courageous, generous of spirit and a true leader of our times. She has been the monarch that has defined our living memories and shaped our experiences. Her life has touched each of us and of people all around the world. Outside of her Royal duties she was a long-serving and passionate WI member, absolutely epitomizing our values and ethos as an organisation. Hers was a life of service and we remain incredibly proud to have called her one of our own.
We have many fond memories which we will treasure and on behalf of our members across England, Wales and the islands we give our thanks for the life of Her Majesty the Queen and our condolences to her family at this sad time.
