French Onion Soup

Ingredients

  • 25g Margarine
  • 2 large Onions, sliced into fine rings
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1 rounded tsp Flour
  • pinch Sugar
  • 1/2 litre Beef Stock

Method

Prepare onions, melt margarine, add onion rings and seasonings and saute over medium heat until golden brown, 5-10 minutes.

Stir in flour and sugar. Add stock, bring to boil and simmer 20-25 minutes until onions are tender.

Serve with grated cheese.
