Avocado Appetiser

A light flavoursome starter to make when avocados are good value for money and full of taste.

Serves: 4


  • 2 large ripe Avocados
  • juice of 1 Lemon
  • 125ml Yoghurt, Greek style
  • Black Pepper
  • Salt to taste


  1. Peel and stone the avocado and chop the flesh
  2. Put it immediately in a food processor with the lemon juice and blend for a few seconds until smooth
  3. Stir in the yoghurt and season to taste.
  4. Serve in small individual dishes with brown bread, cucumber and a sprinkling of red chilli for a kick!
