A warming spicy drink for colder nights.
- 1.2 Litres Cider
- 75g Soft Brown Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 level tsp Allspice (whole)
- 1 tsp Cloves (whole)
- Stick of Cinnamon
- Pinch of Nutmeg
- Orange Peel
- Combine the sugar, salt and cider.
- Tie the spices in a piece of muslin and add to the cider.
- Bring slowly to the boil and then hold at the simmering point for 20 mins.
- Strain the drink to remove the spices and serve hot with strips of orange peel.
