Llanwenog Onnen Group Meeting
Thursday 21st March 2013

The evening began with the President Carol Denham welcoming the Onnen members to the Spring Group Meeting which was very well attended with only one apology from Mydroilyn WI.
 
Interesting reports were read by the different WIs on their activities over the past six months. There was much laughter which set the tone for the evening.
It seems that the members had been busy from Arts and Crafts to sampling different foods from foreign countries also many had tried learning a new dance – great fun.
 
Gay Evans Advisor told us about activities that would be held around the County in the next few months, a very varied programme of events, something for everyone.
 
Ann Jones was congratulated on being chosen to be the Wales Federation Chairperson Ann told us that this meeting was her last as Ceredigion Chairperson as a new Chairperson will be chosen in April from The Executive Committee. Our good wishes go with her as she ventures on another adventure in her WI. Life.
 
Diane Smith was our guest for the evening. Diane showed slides of her holidays spent while working for the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia. They were indeed luxurious holidays ones where most people only dream of. Diane had beautiful gifts on display, these had been given her by the Royal Family which showed how highly regarded Diane was while she lived with them. Diane had been employed to look after a young Prince and has only been back in Ceredigion for 4 years.
 
Neris Lloyd President of Aberaeron WI. Gave the official vote of thanks also to invite the Onnen Group to the Aberaeron WI for their Autumn meeting when the topic will be food.
 
The raffle was drawn and then a delicious buffet prepared by the ladies of Llanwenog WI was enjoyed by all.
