Members are creating digital stories to record and promote their activities and events; capture historical moments; and to share the experiences of WI members.
During 2014, digital storytelling training took place in Carmarthen, Caernarfon and Denbigh to train members to record, edit and compile a Digital Story using a sound clip and photos. Two members from 11 federations participated in the training.
The training was provided free of charge through the Welsh Government initiative Communities 2.0.
In 2015, as part of the WI Centenary celebrations, digital stories were produced to capture members' stories about their memories, attitudes, feelings and experiences of being WI members. The stories were enjoyed by members and others who attended the Centenary Craft Exhibition in Beaumaris and will be deposited in the national archive.
A selection of the digital stories can be viewed below.
