Maintenance Assistant
£19,945 per annum
Full-time, 35 hours per week
Based in Oxfordshire

About the Maintenance Assistant role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day inspections, maintenance and repairs of the College buildings, grounds and equipment, and ensure that all aspects of current Health & Safety at Work Regulations are met.

General maintenance duties will include room checks, legionella prevention, checking fire assets and reactive maintenance. This includes heating and ventilation issues, unblocking of drains and toilets, decorating repairs and office moves. You will also be responsible for liaising with and overseeing external contractors. This role requires accurate record keeping and the ability to prioritise and remaining calm under pressure. In addition, you will work as part of a rota system to cover emergency maintenance, during evenings and weekends.

About you
A background of onsite maintenance or experience within a similar environment is essential. A qualification in decorating, plumbing or joinery skills and fire training would be desirable.
