A Centenary Party with buffet, a cup cake making competition and a cake decorating demonstration. A centenary tablecloth is being made to include the names of all members. Names will be embroidered by individual ladies if they wish to do so. The cloth can then be used on special occasions and will be kept as a souvenir of the centenary year. In addition a centenary rose has been purchased and planted in the garden of the hall where monthly meetings are held. A plaque has been placed with the rose to explain the WI connection

Branston WI

Branston WI celebrated the WI Centenary with a celebration cake made by the president. This was cut by the oldest member who is 101 and the president

Branston members will attend the WI Centenary Celebration Evensong at Lincoln Cathedral, hosted by Lincoln WI

WI Centenary Open Evening which is also Branston WI's 98th Birthday, musical entertainment and an "afternoon tea", with a WI Timeline display created by one of the members.

Hall Green WI

An evening with a light supper and traditional cream tea. Have asked members to enter into the spirit of things by digging out their Sunday Best and putting the glad rags on! Includes competitions on the theme of 'what does Hall Green WI mean to you' and entertainment provided by a choir from a local WI

Celebrating the Centenary by joining in the Aldham Flower Festival entitled 'Celebration' on Saturday & Sunday, 12th & 13th September. WI members will be having a gazebo at the event to celebrate the centenary and to help promote the WI. The event is being held in Aldham Church, with stalls and refreshments all day on both days in the Village Hall. There will be live music, an art exhibition, a River of Roses, children's activities and a raffle. Funds raised at the event are being donated to the Alzheimer's Society and Aldham Church Fabric Fund

WI Members have been invited to join the Board of Trustees for afternoon tea, and a WI Celebration fruit cake will be made. Middlesex WI's have also been asked to enter a competition 'An Image of HM the Queen' and the two winning entries will be hung in the office and in the Middlesex room at Denman. During the Baton week they held another competition for WI's to make a cushion for the baton, and these will be on display too, as well as their Centenary embroidery entries. The Craft Committee will also be demonstrating various crafts during the week

The bench will have an engraved plaque saying that it is to celebrate 100 years of the WI and will be sited near to the children's play area so that Mums and/or Dads will have somewhere to sit whilst watching their children play

A quilted wall hanging has been completed by members, based on the "Tree of Life", and each appliquéd leaf has been signed by each member. Centenary Drop-in Day at WI House. This will showcase WI crafts from machine embroidery to willow weaving, floral baskets to bobbin lace. Visitors can also learn how to play Mah-jong, and have a go with a crochet hook or knitting needle. There will also be displays of photographs and slides, and refreshments

The Marmaladies (St Dogmaels) WI

Evening party with cocktails, canapés and cake. Their own WI cocktail will also be served (after a competition earlier in the year). A speaker will also give an illustrated talk on fashion over the last 100 years

Evening of humour and music featuring Radcliffe Male Voice Choir in the United Reform Church in Greenmount. They are going to deck the church out in WI colours with bunting, bows, and lots of sunflowers. The Church recently underwent major repair work and they are going to donate the profit from the evening to the Church and the local Village Community Group.

Members have placed a commemorative seat outside the Moot Hall in the village. As one of the first WIs to be founded in the county of Lincolnshire, in 1918, meetings have been held in the Moot Hall for the past 97 years. The seat bears the inscription "Holton le Moor WI - on the Centenary of the National Federation of Women's Institutes 1915-2015".

Centenary Party. This will take the form of a Games Evening when members, former members and guests will take part in New Age Kurling, giant Jenga, darts, a putting competition, a guess the weight of the baby competition (with a real baby!!) and old-fashioned pub games like quoits and shove halfpenny! There'll be a fish and chip supper, and of course a Centenary Cake, made and decorated by one of our members. Everyone attending will be wearing the WI Centenary colours of green, white and purple and we will of course be singing Jerusalem and toasting the health of the WI.

A speaker, the Revd Robinson, will be giving two half hour slots, one on the early years of the WI and the other on songs of the period. There will also be a quiz constructed by a Hockley Village member about events of the last hundred years. There will be "Irish bingo", a stupendous buffet and lots of chatter. The Raffle includes some wonderful prizes, including a lunch for four at the Chichester hotel, Champagne, and plants. One lucky guest will also win the door prize of a Centenary Rose.
