Support Overdue (2017)

This report presents the findings of the NFWI's and NCT's second survey of women's experiences of maternity care, providing insights into key aspects of the experiences of 2,500 women who gave birth in England or Wales in 2014, 2015, and 2016.

The report covers five key areas: staffing, continuity of carer, personalisation, postnatal services, and digital technology. This is the first study of women's experiences of maternity services to be released in the wake of NHS England's National Maternity Review. Many of this report's findings are situated within the context of the Review and will be useful for any provider or commissioner looking to implement the Review's recommendations.
