WI Members take action!
We've just published a report - Support Overdue (2017)- based on the experiences of 2,500 women (half of them WI members), who recently gave birth in England or Wales. We found that due to the shortage of midwives, women and new mums are experiencing shocking levels of care and having to labour in wards that are potentially clinically unsafe.
Now we need your help to ensure that the report's findings and recommendations do not just sit on the shelf. Take the time to write to your MP or AM pressing for more midwives, and asking them to disseminate the report's findings to the Secretary of State in England and the Cabinet Minister for Health in Wales.
Use our template letter below to get you started and be sure to share any responses that you receive. If you have any questions get in touch with the Public Affairs department at firstname.lastname@example.org or 020 7371 9300 ext.213.
