Food Poverty Toolkit

The Food Poverty toolkit gives WI members everything you need to organise a food poverty debate in your local communities, allowing you to learn more about the issue of food poverty and discuss the causes and possible solutions. The toolkit also helps you to take action to address both the root  causes of food poverty, and to directly help those in your community who are facing food poverty.

The NFWI's work on food poverty is the result of a 2016 resolution passed by the WI membership, which called on the NFWI to work to address the issues of both food waste and food poverty. In response to this motion the Food Matters campaign was launched; with a first phase focusing on food waste and a  second on food poverty.
