There are six WI Advisers within the Federation who help the Institutes in whichever ways they are required.  It could be advising on the running of the Institute or the organisation of the Annual Meeting.  Of course, their most important function is the opening of new Institutes.  Each Adviser has to go through intensive training in all aspects of the WI so is a knowledgeable person to aid the members.

The Federation is steadfast in its resolve to maintain the slogan "Inspiring Women" by holding training days in crafts, food nutrition and preparation, as well as promoting members' interest in public affairs.  It holds a Mini Consultative Meeting each January where members can hear expert speakers discuss the Resolutions to be voted on.

A monthly Newsletter is produced for all members, which notes forthcoming events and items of interest to members.  The content is provided by the Committees, the Federation and Institutes may also contribute information.

Calendars & Diaries.  A calendar is produced each year, using members' photographs and recipes.  Diaries are also published by the National Federation of WIs and may be ordered through WI House.

Federation Holiday. It has been a long tradition that the Federation organises a Holiday each Spring for its members.  There have been trips to Northern Ireland, Germany, the Lake District, Northumberland and this year it will be a five-day coach trip to Northern Spain. Usually, 50 or more members enjoy these trips.
