The Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) is an international Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) founded in 1933.  It is an organisation which sets out to connect and support women and communities worldwide.  It has a membership of both organisations and individual members who will be found in 70 countries.  It has strong links with the United Nations with consultative status with several UN Agencies.

WI members will be most familiar with ACWW through the annual Coins for Friendship collection.  The money raised through this collection is used for ACWW project work.

Every year in April, ladies from all over the globe come together for a very special event - Women Walk the World.  This encourages everyone to get out and spread the word of ACWW's good work and raise valuable funds by means of sponsorship.  Of course, it also provides a fantastic social activity too.  Click here for all the details.
