We have been given the opportunity to explore the Freemasons Hall in London, which has been the centre of Freemasonry for 230 years. Freemasons have met on this site since 1775.  The present Freemasons’ Hall was built between 1927 and 1932 as a memorial to the 3,000 members killed during the First World War.  It is one of the UK’s finest Art Deco buildings. We will have a guide to help us explore and explain all the ins and outs of this Society and be given the chance to explore the Grand Temple and other ceremonial areas of the Hall.  The tour will last for approximately 1 hour to 1½ hours and will then be followed by lunch at a Wildwood Restaurant in the Covent Garden area.  The lunch will consist of 3 courses plus a drink.  Further details of the menu choices will be available shortly. The afternoon will be taken up by our Blue Badge Guide giving us a walking tour of the Covent Garden area. We will leave for home at 4.00 pm.
