MCS stands for Membership Communication System. It is the secure WI database that holds members’ details and enables communication throughout the organisation.
What is My WI?
My WI is our dedicated website for WI members. Here you will find everything you need to get the most out of your membership – from essential news, information and advice for running your WI, to campaign materials, tried and tested recipes, special interest projects for you to try and much more!
How do I log in?
Members with an email address registered on the MCS (Membership Communications System) will receive an email outlining the steps to create a secure 'Digital WI' password. Once your password has been set, you will be able to use your account details to access My WI.
If you have logged onto My WI before, or you're an existing MCS Rep, log in now by visiting: https://mywi.thewi.org.uk/ and entering your login details.
If you haven't yet received a 'Welcome to the Digital WI' email with your 'My WI' login details, visit: https://mywi.thewi.org.uk/welcome-to-my-wi and follow the steps outlined.
Should you encounter any problems, please get in touch with us via 020 7371 9300.
What is the MCS?
How do I update my email address?
If your email address changes, please contact your MCS Rep and ask them to update your address to the new one. Going forward you will be able to login using your updated address.
How do I change my password?
Step I: Visit either the login page of My WI or the MCS and click the "Forgot password?" link. Alternatively, visit https://www.nfwi-records.org.uk/forgottenpassword.aspx and enter your email address.
Step II: You will be sent an email to your registered email address with a unique link. Click on the link and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step III: To ensure your account is kept secure, you will be asked to confirm your email address and postcode. You will then be able to create a new password.
Please note: Because you use the same account details to log into the MCS as for logging into My WI, you only need to change your password once. You can then use your updated password to access both My WI and the MCS.
What will my email address be used for?
- We use your email address to give you access to our “member-only” services such as My WI and WI Training. If you have forgotten your password and request a new one, the system will send an automatically generated email to help you regain access to your account.
- We use a third-party supplier (“Zendesk”) to provide the helpdesk software used on My WI. When you submit a request via the “Help” widget on My WI, your email address will be sent to “Zendesk”.
- On some pages, we use third-party provider “Disqus” for the commenting functionality on My WI. When you add a comment to an article on My WI, your email address is shared with "Disqus".
Please note: We will only send you emails about our work if you have explicitly provided consent to receive such information, e.g. subscribing to a specific newsletter such as the Public Affairs Digest. In no case will we send you unsolicited emails.
How is My WI different to WI Training?
WI Training functions as a training platform, which is what it was originally designed for.
Non-training content that used to be on the Moodle, for example, policy information, and WI Officer information has been moved over to My WI to ensure that everything is easy to access and stored on one platform.
Do I need to have cookies enabled to use My WI?
Without cookies you would have to login every time you visited a new page and using the website would be a far less friendly experience.
We also use some third party cookies to help improve the website.
