The NFWI’s new development, gender and climate change project is now underway. We will be working closely with Oxfam GB and the Everyone Project until March 2011 to provide an educational opportunity for WI members to learn more about the international impacts of climate change, and how women are particularly affected.
 
The NFWI will be working closely with those federations who have expressed their interest and commitment to participate; however, we are certain that all WI members will benefit from the gender, development and climate change focused briefings, materials and events coordinated by the Public Affairs Department over the coming years.
 

In the first year of this project the NFWI will be holding a training event for participating federations at Denman College from 8-10 October 2008. At this event, federation representatives will learn about current gender and development issues and will receive support to coordinate inspirational events for the WI and their communities.
