National Competitions
WI members can take part in a wide range of competitions as part of their membership subscription. Competitions are devised not only to bring fun and motivational opportunities to members, but to also act as a learning tool to develop members' skills and encourage them to try new activities.
There are competitions available to suit all members; cookery, craft, writing, design, sport, competitions that require members to work as a team and others as individuals.
Working with the local community...
Local schools were also given the opportunity recently to take part in one of our exciting competitions - The Joy of Jam! To celebrate the Jam Festival held at Denman in December 2012, local primary school children were invited to write a poem based on the theme 'Jam'. Children from Long Wittenham Primary School and Radley Primary School took up the challenge and produced some beautifully illustrated and imaginative poems - click on the links to read their jam delights!
