Method:
- In a jug, mix together the wine, honey and half of the cinnamon. Set aside.
- Melt the butter in a small pan, add the breadcrumbs, sugar and remaining cinnamon and stir together until evenly mixed. Set aside.
- Peel and halve the pears. Remove the cores. Arrange the pear halves, cut side down, in a greased ovenproof dish and pour over the white wine mixture.
- Sprinkle the pears evenly with the breadcrumb mixture and bake in the oven at 190°C/375°F mark 5 for 40 mins.
- Allow to cool and refrigerate until required. Transport to picnics in a plastic sealed container in a cool bag.
- Accompany with yogurt flavoured with grated orange rind.
