Strawberry ice-cream

Strawberry Ice Cream
Wonderful with freshly picked English Strawberries.
Ingredients:

350g (12oz) Strawberries washed, dried and hulled
Juice of a lemon
Juice of a orange
175g (6oz) caster sugar
450ml (¾ pint) whipping cream

Method:

  1. Blitz the strawberries in a food processor strain the puree.
  2. Combine the puree with lemon and orange juice and sugar. Leave to stand for 2 hours for sugar to dissolve.
  3. Whip the cream until it holds soft peaks. Stir in the sweetened puree and whisk lightly.
  4. Churn in ice cream machine until soft form ice cream.
  5. Serve immediately.
