HRH The Duchess of Cornwall joins the WI
HRH The Duchess of Cornwall is the latest member of the Royal Family to join Britain’s largest women’s organisation. She follows in the footsteps of Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary and the Queen Mother.

HM The Queen is a WI member and President of Sandringham WI. Fay Mansell, Chair of the National Federation of Women’s Institutes (NFWI) said: “We are delighted that the Duchess has joined the WI and welcome her warmly.

We hope she will enjoy being part of the WI – an organisation that offers women the chance to take part in wide-ranging activities, learn new skills and campaign on important issues ranging from the environment to human trafficking.”

Judi Mason-Smith, President of Tetbury WI, said: “We are honoured that Her Royal Highness is joining us. We will be very pleased to welcome her at our meetings and to keep her in touch with everything we are doing.”
