Welcome to the Humberside Federation

Humberside Federation takes its name from the fact that a very large part of it borders on the South Bank of the River Humber.   We are relatively small, covering an area of approximately 40 miles wide by 10 miles deep, in the county of Lincolnshire.

There are industrial areas in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and along parts of the riverside, but otherwise Humberside is agricultural.

We have around 40 WIs and about 1,100 members who are based mostly in the villages, however  new W.I.s are now opening in the towns and made up of younger working women which we fully encourage.

An Executive Committee runs the Federation and we have four sub-committees.

• Art, Sports & Leisure
• Membership & Promotions

Each committee organises interesting and topical outings, day schools and events for all members.

Newcomers are always assured of a warm welcome.
