| Our eighteen WI's have also individually organized events and outings for their own members and friends, and during the Summer months participated in outings aned events by boat, lorry, train and kayak.
Included in the activities were a 'Balls up Evening' (croquet, petanque, and bowling), a Scavenger Hunt and a Summer Soiree. All of these activities finished with a delicious Supper.
It is our great fortune to have as our Patron Mrs Valerie Ridgeway wife of the Lieutenant-Governor.
We are represented on National by Mrs Joy Thomson who is Vice Chairman of Denman College and Public Affairs,and representative of both Fair Trade and ACWW.
Regularly we participate in local forums and debates related to the Government of the Island.Our relations with the local media is excellent and we are frequently asked for opinions and comments by the local radio and the local paper.
A holiday to coincide with Liberation Week is organized in May when we entertain members and friends from all over England, Wales and other Islands.Details of this superb holiday can be found elsewhere on this Website.
We are very proud of our Federation and only last year celebrated our 60th Anniversary.
