Welcome to the Oxfordshire Federation

2011 will see our usual selection of workshops, events and trips, which this year includes two County Lunches with delicous homemade food and an excellent speaker, a Caribbean Evening, Irish music and a Textile Exhibition where we aim to showcase our members' many talents. As always we aim to accommodate all tastes with a mixture of training for our novice volunteers and both educational and fun outings for our members and occasionally, when space permits, their friends too.Sue Cox Federation Chairman
In Oxfordshire Federation we have approx 4,600 members spread across 150 WIs, with membership numbers of between 10 and 100 members, meeting in the mornings, evenings and afternoons.

A large number of women join the WI for friendship, and enjoy the walks, trips to the theatre, meetings with other WIs and visits to places both inside and outside the county.  Our federation arranges many such events; talks; day schools; visits and activities, which appeal to as wide a cross section of members as possible. It is all part of the WI ethos, which is to offer opportunities for enjoyable learning for life.

As part of those learning opportunities, we are lucky to have the WI's own residential college, Denman College, within our county. Our members are able to take full advantage of residential courses and day workshops in Denman's beautiful surroundings.

If you are interested in joining us or finding out more, please check out our website in the right hand panel, or contact our federation office for more information.
