This Federaion has an Independant Financial Examiner Trainer, who was trained and appointed by the National Federation.  She has trained a team of IFEs, who are available to examine WI's accounts at the end of the Financial Year, and can give advice to treasurers during the year.

They meet together annually with the trainer who can update them on any new developments in Charity laws etc.  This is also an ideal time to exchange any problems and generally catch up. The advantage of this service is that these examiners are all WI members who have specialised knowledge of what is required to meet all the rules and regulations required by the Charity Commissioners and the WI constitution. 

They often are or have been WI treasurers themselves, so are sympathetic to any problems a treasurer can have. So if you're a treasurer for some time and would like to ensure everything you are doing is still correct, or you are a new Treasurer and daunted by thought of all the responsibility, then why not give us a call we are more than happy to help. 

This service can be accessed through the Federation office, where a list of Examiners is available. The current fee is £15, which is payable directly to the Examiner.
