Craft
Craft has always played an important role in the WI. We offer a range of craft opportunities including: taster days and workshops;
shows and events
; courses at
Denman College
; Certificates and
Action Packs
; and,
competitions
and exhibitions.
WI members are known for their excellence in craft skills and are instrumental in keeping many crafts alive today. We offer members the chance to develop existing skills or learn new ones. For craft project you can do at home please go to our

The NFWI is working with The Crafts Council and the UK Hand Knitting Association to help teach young people to knit.To find out more visit the

We have been working with the
National Needlework Archive for the past three years, to put together a record of WI textiles and held an exhibition in Summer 2007. You can read more about this on the
