At Raunds December 2008 Meeting a buffet was put on and a great evening was enjoyed by all as the Committee produced a very funny sketch as Charladies. Charladies changed into their Sunday hats to sing a version of "Little Boxes" No! the President is not advertising the 57 varieties - just a retired employee!!
Abington WI

Abington WI was formed in November 1987. On the 15 April Abington WI celebrated its 20 Anniversary Year with a party when our President, Marian Young cut the birthday cake with Marjorie Morton the Founder President.
Weldon WI

Weldon WI's choir, The String of Pearls, directed by Sue Bond and acompanied on the piano by Sue Lawson, took part in the Oundle Festival of Music and Drama on Saturday March 29 2008. They entered two classes and were deligted to achieve commendation in both and to be awarded the Lady Culme-Seymour Cup for the Village Choirs Class and the Sir Richard Proby Cup for Songs from the Musicals class. The final honour for the choir was to be invited by the Festival organisers to perform their award winning pieces in the Grand Concert Festival Finale in the evening before an audience of other festival entrants, the general public and local dignitaries.
