This committee is concerned with the monthly publication of 'County News' whose main purpose is to provide a channel of communication between the various County Committees and WI members. Members are also invited to contribute articles, drawings, photographs and items of WI news of particular interest which are printed when space permits. Press day is the second Tuesday in the month.

MESSAGE FOR CORRESPONDENTS TO COUNTY NEWS
The aim of 'Round the County' in County News is to inform WIs what others are doing at their monthly meetings. You will realise that space is limited and occasionally reports have to be left out.

The Editor tries to ensure that all WIs get a fair showing of their reports, and keeps a record of those which have been used each month.

The yellow report form, filled in each month and sent to County, is NOT used for County News. You will need to send a separate brief article, direct to WI House, marked 'for County News'.

Please do not send a copy of the record of your meeting. Each month, there are in excess of 50 to read. Most - thank you - are brief and to the point, but some need a lot of wading through to find details of the speaker!

Please PRINT the name of your speaker. Not all are in the handbook to be checked, and it is impolite to spell a person's name incorrectly.

Try to think of something special about your meeting that will make the report eye-catching. There is not room to print the content of the talk other than a brief resume.

Remember that many WIs have the same speakers over time, and so the report may appear brief. This may be because a speaker has been described several times recently.
