Independent Financial Examiner Trainers' course
(IFE Trainers)
Courses for Independent Financial Examiner Trainers are held every three years and include an Open College Network accreditation at
Level 3.

The course provides WI members with the technical knowledge and skills to establish an Independent Financial Examiner's scheme in their federation and train Independent Financial Examiners to carry out their role examining the annual accounts of WIs.

To attend this course, students should have held a position such as Federation Treasurer or Assistant, or have some financial experience, and must be nominated by their federation.

IFE Trainers Refresher
This course is designed to update trainers on the latest Charity Commission recommendations. The next course will take place from 20 to 22 January 2012 at Denman College. There are still a few places available.
Independent Financial Examiners Training
This one-day course is for those Federations who do not have a NFWI Trained IFE Trainer and is aimed at WI Members who have worked with finance or served as a WI Treasurer, Federation Board of Trustee member or WI Adviser.  At the end of the day members will be able to:

  • undertake independent examinations of WI accounts within their federation
  • advise their federation on the best methods of setting up a scheme
  • provide a valuable service for their members.
