Do it for Denman
Sell one million cups of tea. Why? Help to maintain and enhance Denman, by joining the challenge. Plans are afoot to introduce environmentally friendly central heating and hot water systems into the main house, and to improve the dining room. If every member sold 5 cups of tea/coffee for £1.00 each, we would raise the money needed. How? You can do this as an individual or as a WI, or a mixture of both. Have an afternoon tea, or entertain family - it's up to you. Simply collect this money and hand to your WI, who will send this on by cheque to Denman. For more information, contact: Julie Baker on 01865 391991 or email j.baker@denman.org.uk. Thank you for your support.

Derbyshire Eco Challenge
Looking for a greener lifestyle, and a more sustainable home? Join the Derbyshire Eco Challenge, and make a difference with eco saving tips. We will look at a different topic each month until March 2012, with tips to help you reduce your energy bills and carbon emissions, and ideas which are better for the planet, for your local community and hopefully for your pocket.
Take part in the Challenge and receive a monthly email with tips for greener living - we’d like you to tell us which actions you’re already doing and which new ones you’d like to try to do. You can even suggest your own top tips for other people to try. You’ll have the satisfaction knowing that you’re taking part with people right across Derbyshire and we’ll give feedback on what other actions people are taking. We’ll even be offering small prizes for the best tips we receive.
To sign up or for more information contact derbyshire@globalactionplan.org.uk or visit the Challenge website at http://derbyshire.globalactionplan.org.uk.
The Challenge will be running between August 2011 and March 2012 but you can join at any time. Entry is completely free and you can opt out of the challenge at any time.
Derbyshire Eco Challenge is run by Global Action Plan and supported by Derbyshire County Council.
