As this is our Diamond Anniversary Year our present Chairman decided to have a tea party and invite all past Chairmen who are alive . This turned out to be a lovely event with very few of the past chairmen missing.

It was held in the WI Office on Sunday 31st October and turned out to be a lovely event starting at around 3.15pm and ending at around 4.30pm. The upstairs room where the party was held was beautifully decorated and someone had produced a lovely flower arrangement  We were all warmly greeted by Anne Pasturel, our present Chairman and members of Island Committee entertained them. We had tea and an assortment of delicious cakes, (all home-made)

On display were the Anniversary Tree a wonderful wall hanging of a tree with leaves, hand made by members of the Federation two per Institute. Also on display was the Anniversary Book and the Fantasy Programmes. Most Institutes had taken part and all were of a very high standard with St Mary's WI being the winners.

All members showed a great deal of interest and pleased to see such a high standard of work.
