Programme competition

Deadline for Entry Forms for this competition is now PAST.

WHAT WAS IT

Every organization needs to sell itself and with so much competition, programmes are an essential part of a WI's recruitment kit. If prospective members receive a programme that is lively, vibrant and full of interesting information, as well as showing a great and varied programme of events, they are more likely to join the WI. Programmes offer a simple and effective form of advertising and promotion that can bring in new members and make sure those who are already members, continue to be.

THE RULES

The NFWI invited WIs to submit their programme for 2010 to be judged in a national competition. The programme could be produced in any medium size and style, which may be computer, typewritten or hand generated, but the submitted programme HAD TO BE THE WI's ACTUAL PROGRAMME FOR 2010.  No distinction was made between WIs which started their year in January or March.

WIs wishing to enter had to send three copies of their programme to their Federation Secretary no later than the date publicized by the federation.  Federations were then required to judge and chose up to two entries to go forward for judging by the NFWI.

RESOURCES

A copy of the schedule, Federation Entry Form and WI Entry Form were all available to download. Alternatively, members could contact Helen Neal at the NFWI Unit for hard copies.
