
Margaret Lloyd Jones | | | As the daughter of a farmer and a committed WI Mother, Margaret Lloyd Jones attended agricultural college and started her working life in the laboratory of a local creamery before going on to work as a solicitor’s clerk. After spending time at home bring up her two sons she and her husband opened their own stationery business for 17 years.
Margaret joined Abererch WI in 1970 and is currently their President. She was Gwynedd Caernarfon Federation Secretary from 1980-1987 and has been a past Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the federation. She has been a WI Adviser since 1984.
Margaret was elected Chair of the Federations of Wales Committee in 2009 and as such is an ex-officio member of the NFWI Board of Trustees.
In her free time Margaret enjoys cooking, gardening, music and travelling (including caravanning). She is the Chairman of Governors of Abererch Primary School and Deacon at Abererch Chapel.
