SANTA MONTEFIORE'S VISIT TO DENMAN COLLEGE


The celebrity author, Santa Montefiore, kindly agreed to come and talk about her life as an author, her colourful experiences and to answer any questions members had regarding fictional writing at a Literary Lunch at Denman College held on the 1 June 2009.  The afternoon session was hosted by Lesley Dore and Jacqueline Tevlin, Denman Tutors who judged the Lady Denman Cup Competition 2008 (write a ghost story), and gave members the opportunity to learn more about the art of writing, what the judges looked for in a winning entry, where writers had excelled and where others had failed.

SCIENCE FEDERATION REPRESENTATIVES CONFERENCE

A conference is being held for Science Federation Representatives (or someone from the federation who sits on a relevant committee, or has an interest in science with the ability to cascade knowledge and information from the conference) at Denman College on the 18 - 20 November 2009.

During the conference, members will have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas and knowledge, take part in a range of activities and learn new ways to promote science within their federations. 

Wasn't sure what my role was before, now I'm all fired up!

An excellent conference with a chance to exchange ideas with others and learn some interesting and stimulating things.
