Members have taken part in:

• Inter County Quizzes,
• Competitions at various shows, such as Derbyshire and Bakewell
• Photographic Competitions 

We are very pleased that lots of our members take part, because we do know that everyone is so busy and we do appreciate the hard work that is put into entering these competitions.

INSPIRING WOMEN EVENT on SATURDAY 21ST APRIL 2012

The INSPIRING WOMEN EVENT is taking place at The Winding Wheel, Chesterfield.  This is a FREE day and is your chance to have a go at a lot of activities, bring the family or friends.  Further information will be in "The Derbyshire Link".  If you would like to enter the competitions for this day please see "Downloads" on the right hand side of this page, which will give you all information and booking form.  One is for "An Inspiring Woman", a creative writing competition and the other is for "Inspired by ......", a craft display. The closing dates are on the schedules and have been extended to Thursday 16th February 2012.

These will be judged prior to display at Derbyshire County and Bakewell Shows.

OPEN CLASSES FOR THE COUNTY AND BAKEWELL SHOWS are always popular, please find the details for the 2012 Shows on the right hand side of the page in "Downloads".   You will have plenty of time to prepare.  Hard copies of the full schedules will be distributed.

The ANNE HALE TROPHY will be competed for in MARCH 2012, for more information please see "Downloads" on the right hand side of this page.  Please help to make this a success by entering next year. The theme is a "Blackwork Picture". Get working on your entries over the winter and help to make a great display.

To follow up from the recent article in WI Life advertising this new and exciting competition to celebrate our centenary, please find the official competition schedule, which can be downloaded from the right hand side of this page.  As  this moment in time the NFWI are unable to give a specific date when items are required for judging but can confirm that it will be sometime during October 2014.  This will allow them enough time to photograph the items, design and plan the exhibition.
