
Diana Birch | | | Diana Birch grew up in the Cotswolds and moved from London to Northamptonshire when her youngest child was two. Cordon Bleu-trained, she cooked directors’ lunches, supervised playgrounds and is now an instructor for Riding for the Disabled. She is a Freeman of the City of London.
Diana joined Yelvertoft WI in l978 and became President. A Northamptonshire Federation Trustee for 12 years, and past Chairman, she was instrumental in the creation of the new ‘green’ HQ. In 2008 she was co-opted on to the NFWI Board. She sits on the Federation Support, Membership and Public Affairs Committees and has sat on the Finance, MCS and Denman College Committees in the past.
Diana keeps chickens and ducks, does fence judging and stewarding at horse trials and is interested in all rural affairs, as well as cooking, gardening and crosswords. In 2006 she joined ‘Cycle Cuba’, raising funds for Denman College.
