About Denman College

Denman College is the WI's own Residential Adult Education College near Oxford, and was named after the first NFWI Chairman, Lady Denman.Grounds of Denman College
Most of the money needed to buy, develop and maintain the College over the years has been raised by the WI. Denman College is a graceful Georgian house, set in 17 acres of beautiful grounds.
The majority of the bedrooms are single en suite with two twin bedded rooms especially adapted for those with physical disabilities and their carers. Denman College - one of the bedrooms
Bedrooms are lovingly maintained by the various County and Island Federations, which gives a unique feel to each room
The elegant public rooms give everyone the welcome chance to relax and make friends. Up to 72 students can stay at Denman at any one time. The College Dining Room caters for all diets.
Every year over 6,000 students from all over England and Wales attend some 500 short courses to develop new skills and knowledge, start a new hobby or purely for pleasure.  Computer suite at Denman College

The friendly, peaceful and comfortable atmosphere is an ideal setting in which to learn. The rich variety of courses, which last for two, three or four days, is breathtaking and many students return again and again.

Some courses give you the chance to gain external recognition for your work through a franchise with Abingdon and Witney College. However for many, fulfilment comes solely from "learning for learning's sake"
From time to time, outside organisations sponsor all or part of the cost of students coming on specialist conferences. Delegates are selected from shortlists sent in from their federations and are required to cascade the knowledge they have gained to their fellow members.
