WI Carbon Challenge

In June 2007, the WI Carbon Challenge was launched, with the support of M&S.

WI members and the public were encouraged sign up and reduce their carbon emissions by 20%. Participants measured their carbon footprint using WWF's footprint calculator and received tailored tips to help them reduce their impact on the environment.

Over 10,000 people took part, leading to a saving of approximately 20,000 tonnes of carbon.

Within this website you can find out more about the project, as well as discovering some helpful tips and hints on ways to reduce your carbon footprint.
