The National Federation of Women’s Institutes (NFWI) is the UK's largest women’s organisation with around 205,000 members. It plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to learn new skills. Below is a list of the current vacancies:

Departmental Administrator

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent administrator with well established secretarial skills to fully support the General Secretary (equivalent of a CEO), Board Secretary and the Membership committee.

The key aspects of this job will be diary management, correspondence, dealing with member’s queries, minute taking and servicing the Membership Committee including sourcing information, research and agenda preparation.

We are looking for a person with a proven track record in administration, or senior secretarial/ PA roles. A typing speed of 50-60 wpm and good IT skills are also required. You must be a confident communicator and be comfortable talking to everyone from an unhappy member to the Chair of the Board. You will also demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness and the capacity to thrive during pressurised times. Above all, you will have the motivation to get things done and the professionalism to do them well. 

In addition to the usual administrative tasks you will be responsible for organising special projects relating to the WI centenary, Federation visits to head office and other events.
